Love, such a beautiful word,
Envelopes your heart while it rolls off your tongue,
Churns your stomach as your heart quenches one of the greatest feelings ever experienced,
What a strong word, love.
It has the power to illuminate all the places it has been,
It has the passion to rescue lost souls,
It mends broken hearts and makes them whole.
But the great darkness it may bring when lost is hard to understand,
The emptiness and betrayal left cannot be counted by hand,
A wondering, wounded soul left to die,
If someone supreme is not by their side.
An unconditional love only knows light,
That love has proven to be more faithful than the moon at night,
It never hurts, though sometimes the best things will,
It out runs time,
It always did, and forever will.
